Honda To Show Accord, Acura Concepts At Detroit Show

Honda Motor Co. Ltd. will unveil a concept car at next months North American International Auto Show that the company said will preview the all-new, ninth-generation Accord that goes on sale next year. “The Accord Coupe Concept will convey the dynamic and aggressive profile of the ninth-generation 2013 Honda Accord set to go on sale in the fall of 2012, the company said today in a release. The next-generation Accords launch will be critical for Honda as it struggles to overcome recent product foibles and an onslaught of competitive new models from rivals in segments for which Honda traditionally has enjoyed top positioning.
Hondas Acura premium-vehicle unit will reveal two new production vehicles and an important concept car at the Detroit auto show that begins for the media on January 9. Acura will reveal an all-new compact entry-level sedan as a concept car called the ILX, which features three available engines including the brands first-ever hybrid-electric powertrain. Acura plans to unveil the NSX Concept, which appears to finally confirm the brands intention to revive its emblematic supercar that was produced from 1990 to 2005. Also at the Detroit auto show, Acura said it will unveil its new-generation RDX compact crossover, following closely on the heels of Hondas launch of the 2012 CR-V.
