@r.e.wing_fc3s: I can’t figure out if I’m looking at the front or the back of the car. If that shag carpet deck in the window is the rear of the vehicle, I hesitate to think of what nefarious and lewd activities might have been conducted on it in the 60s or 70s.
And my hesitation is now over and curiousity has set in!

Interesting. It is one of those things like the Wienermobile or the GM Motorama buses that a few people probably vividly remember but which might’ve completely slipped away. The right buyer might pay big for one of those. Though I live in the south, I didn’t remember them, and the article reveals that they probably stopped right before I was born. I guess that there’s some chance that Tennessee wasn’t what they meant by south.
Mile marker 1317. I’m pretty sure that my state doesn’t have one of those, either.
