    @Psiu! Puxa!: You’re right, Mopar or no car!: I think snap oversteer and backing into ditches and trees can also be added to its resume.

    @accipiter: Ratty and slammed, the only way I like ‘em.

    VWs don’t usually get me going, but I love seeing a dented-up one with lots of “patina” that’s been dropped to the floor and drags sparks behind it.

    That first bus is gorgeous, the paint and patina fading all over it gives me the woobilies.
    the line for the 1776 CC engine IS impressive, that’s the year that the continental congress declared that no longer shall we be under British rule for our carburation. A momentous point in history, if you ask me.
    And my final comment…would that club ever stop the wheel from turning? Its so far away from…well..everything.

    I’m guessing that V8-equipped beetle is a wheelstand car. It can’t be good for much else.

    Strange, but I am developing a yen for an old Beetle–Super Beetle era or before. We one–a 58 or so?–when I was a kid, so maybe it’s some kind of masochistic nostalgia. But I would proudly drive that putty-colored 2-door. They were really rare–there was one in blue I passed on my way to work and now it’s gone, but I think the people who owned it moved.
    Did they start up/run the V-8? I was counting the bits on the header and thought “4″ and then–oh, dear, 4 x 2.

    That V8 Baja Bug definitely needs a spot in the next DiRT game. Maybe that will actually make the LandRush races fun.
