They should have had him be the USA Stig. I wouldn’t complain so much then. Put him into the job that he’s best at.

@Triborough: None of the above. All three of those are funny and witty and can’t drive competitively at a professional level. Tanner Foust is neither funny nor witty, but excels at driving competitively at a professional level. If I had to choose (and apparently I do), I’d go with personality over driving skill. It’s a television show, not a competition. And even when the show includes a competition, it’s not up to the hosts to do the real competition, otherwise what would be the point of having the Stig?

What drew me into TG:UK in the first place were the host’s personalities. “Motorweek” is a nice informative show but has all the personality of sawdust. Clarkson is a pompous ass and he knows it. But dammit, he’s still funny and doesn’t mince words.

I’m sorry, but Tanner Foust is NOT drift king, that title is only reserved for Keiichi Tsuchiya; the man who basically created drifting and popularized it to the point of turning it into a sport. He is the king, he is the father of drifting.
