Bridgestone have come a long way to become the World’s largest tyre and rubber company. This is why they have chosen the rubber seed – a symbol of origin for the company’s product, as a design inspiration for the showcase at this year’s Thailand Board of Investment (BOI) fair.
Named “The Future Seeds”, the pavilion showcases the company’s heritage, innovations, as well as aspirations for the future. The design and construction of the pavilion demonstrates the company’s know-how in material selection and engineering.
The pavilion boasts a number of eco-friendly features. For instance, the roof is covered with an in-house developed polymer that enhances heat radiation. Transparent solar cells installed on parts of the roof ensure sufficient sunlight into the pavilion, and doubles as an electricity generator. Glass has also been used extensively in the walls and doors as it can be re-used.
