Can anyone name the song that plays at 2:31 ??
It sounds so cool.
if they dropped a V6 and added superchargers or turbos and made it RWD, that would be interesting.
It’ll probably cost less and it would be lighter although I think the Quattro 4WD is ok to go with it.
Agree on that one. Though I don’t think the V10 is necessary, they’ve done just fine doing so and you’re right about it being bought not for gas mileage but it does matter when it comes to cars like the Audi because they’re built to be more practical than any supercar but not for practical use and it would be better to go further miles. I still fancy the V8 though. That rumble is something special.
@mondeost2202008
i agree. like the r8 raptor. they bolted a supercharger in, and i believe lightened it up a bit. id take the supercharged v8 over the v10. if someone is going to unload that much money, and want something really special, there going to go for the lambo, so they need to stop trying to compete with the lambo, and fit there part.
oh i definitely agree. definitely. in fact, the only v8′s i like are the corvette, the bmw m3, the aston martin v8 vantage, and of course the ferrari 430.
it saddens me very much that the next m5 will be a v8, i loved the fact that this one is a v10. idc if it’s slower than the jag xfr and cadillac cts-v, it stood out because of its v10. even if it’s faster than the latterly mentioned cars with a v8, i wouldn’t consider it because the jag and cadillac are so beautiful.
Johnny Smith’s reviews are the best, none of the “oh look at me, I’m a racing driver, oh I’m so amazing, look at that slide” bullshit you get from those cocks Tiff and Jason and that moronic Vicki who ruin Fifth Gear. They should just have Johnny Smith and Tom Ford host the whole damn thing and they’d be better off
Esta rodado en Cuevas de San Marcos (malaga). Genial!!!!!!!!!!!!
525 i believe
how many bhp does it have?
because im an average run of the mill, plain vanilla, dousche bag, i select the R8
what a dousche
I don’t like how fifth gear is trying to be like TOP GEAR; The way this review was edited with all the frame by frame shots just made me think of Top Gear….. pathetic really
this guy should be spanked for insulting Audi. Audi is German and not italian you ignorant.
sorry Mondeost2202008…..I have test driven for Porsche for 10 years and now do test driving for Ferrari, Lambourghini, Audi….the V10 is worth its weight it gold….it ourperforms the V8 and Audi has nailed it….you don’t get this car for gas mileage, its about performance and V10 sounds great but thats for wannabes, for drivers its about performaance and you take this car on the track and you’ll see what I’m talking about
It’s a great car but this doesn’t work for me. I know putting a v10 to the R8 will make it faster but it wont feel as special as the V8 one. The V10 isn’t really something to get hyped about since There’s the old Gallardo. I’d suggest Audi makes a more powerful V8 and make the R8 much lighter like how Lamborghini did the LP560 which is way ahead of the old gallardo. That V8 seperates the R8 from other supercars and a V10 would only maximize gas usage. V8 is still a better choice so improve it.
I know loads of people would disagree, but i think a V10 sounds much better than a V8 – just take the Gallardo, M5 or Porsche Carrera GT.
you know normally its porsche that has their cars looking similar to each other but this time the r8 v10 looks more similar to the r8 v8 than the 997 carrera s doess to the 997 turbo.
damnnnn it sounds AWESOME
like it as was mentioned in another review people who buy r8 spent loads on extras and if you was to buy r8 v8 with all the extras that come as standard on v10, the v10 would cost only 10k more than the v8 and I think exotics only sound right witha a v12 or a v10. and i would rather have this r8 over SE galardo. LP560 is pure automotive sex tho
I dont like the V10′s and i wouldnt bother spending the extra cash for it. The V8 is plenty sexy and fast
yeah its more exclusive!
yes
I love the rims on the V10, But then again the V8 has nice ones too.
You mean “LP560-4″
apart from the fact its much cheaper for essentially the same car…
this r8 is basically a Gallardo with four rings….not worth it..
