Why everyone click OK button? He isn’t to agressive, is he?
That Katech LS3 V8 sounds like the Wrath Of God.
Anyone know why they don’t have the driver in the middle of these cars?
I haven’t looked it up
Not lifting for Eau Rouge at 4:12 gave him a great run on the car ahead. Classic Spa pass. Nice.
@xxxOBLIVIONxxxx spa:)
courage lc75′s chassis with chevy’s v8 engine? not bad…..awsome performance but awful sound…..mazda would be better
what track is this?
@DBoy02 i agree with you. i wasn’t trying to corvettes are a bad car in general, i was just saying (in my opinion) that an LMP car should sound sportish like a porsche for example. although, now that i think about it, a V8 sound isn’t the worst car sound in the world i just don’t prefer it. and yes sometimes having a porsche makes you look like a douchebag. if i won a corvette in a contest, i would be happy because it’s a pretty nice car and has some performance to boot.
Is there clutch pedal on LMPs?
@link2400 And yet I’d still buy one over any of what you list. The Corvette looks better, sounds better(not that your examples look or sound bad, I just prefer simpler styling -most of the time- and either a big V8 rumble or a loud screech like an F1 car, the LMP1 Aston, or the Rolex GT Mazda RX-8) and would leave me with more money to do other things with. Also, Porsches, Ferraris, and Bugattis make you look like a douchebag. All a Corvette says is “I’m a hard worker and damn proud of it.”
@DBoy02 but still it’s no porsche, ferrari, or bugatti
@link2400 As for the more standard Corvette V8(like the one in the FLM/LMPC cars), the fuel economy is pretty much the same as the current Porsche 911 range. High teens in city and mid-upper 20s highway. Additionally, the current Corvette has consistently outperformed equivalent 911s in every performance test comparing the two. Old Corvettes were absolute junk, but the current Corvette, particularly the ZR1, is a damn good sportscar.
@link2400 Don’t knock the Corvette V8. The GT1 version of that engine is so torquey it could take on the diesels rather effectively if you dropped it in the back of an LMP! And if you converted it to run on pure Ethanol you could actually squeeze a slight improvement in fuel economy out of it.
@DBoy02 to continue on with my other comment – porsche has a nice performance factor to it. To me, a corvette engine is just a gas guzzling piece of crap with not as much performance as a porsche.
@DBoy02 they’re the worst because the sound of the engine doesn’t go with car and LMP (in my opinion) is a prestigious class of racing. so, it should have a porsche-like sounding engine, not some f***ing muscle engine sound.
i wish you could see the speed-o
I haven´t seen an onboard video from a Audi, Peugeort, Ferrari or Porsche but thsi Chivvy to me seems like a handful….
Love the driver’s viewpointe! Thanks for sharing this clip with us all
just “a bit” different?
it’s just a bit different playing on your xbox360 than actually taking to the track
