The lure of the group B monster attracted more and more fans each stage,eager to get a glimpse of a quattro shooting 1 foot of flame out the exhaust or see the cars throwing up dirt.     I can’t believe it when I’m watching this. Part of the reason Gruppe B cars were banned was the ignorant European fans who didn’t have enough common sense to stay out of the way of the cars. What a nightmare for the drivers. This wasn’t the Tour de France – those cars were very very fast and driven by the best.
