The R8 is far from silent. Right after it came out I had one overtake… well… fly by me with two (!) 911 Carrera w/ sport exhaust systems following it. If I hadnt turned my head to enjoy the scene, I wouldnt even have noticed that there were any cars at all behing the R8, because the R8s V8 and NOTHING ELSE was all you could hear, not even the slightest whisper from a 911 was to be heard.
